After you have provided the required notices as described in Sections 2 & 3, above, protecting your right to file a lien claim, you must now file an Affidavit of Mechanic's Lien in order to collect money from the owner. In this case, the affiant states that labor or equipment was furnished by the lien claimant and the balance owed remains unpaid.
